Sheet metal fabrication

Nesting that fits how a fabrication shop works.

Many jobs, different materials, and more than one person touching the files. NestIQ keeps projects, plates and defaults in one workspace, and nests true shapes in the browser.

The problem

What makes this work hard.

Every job is different

Quantities, materials and sheet sizes change from order to order, and each one needs a fresh layout.

Estimating needs numbers

To quote, you need to know how much sheet a job uses and what it will cost. That is often a guess.

Settings live in someone's head

Kerf, spacing and sheet sizes are set differently by different people, and results vary.

Files get lost

Nest files sit on one PC, and the person who made them is not always there when you need them.

How NestIQ helps

What you get on the sheet.

Projects in the cloud

Projects are saved in a workspace, so the office and the shop floor see the same layout.

Roles

Give people owner, admin, operator or viewer access, so the right people can change things.

Masters and defaults

Material and plate masters and nesting defaults are saved per workspace, so every nest starts from your settings.

Multiple plates per project

A job can span several sheets, and you can move parts between plates.

PDF job report

Get a report with material saved and cost and time estimates, ready to attach to a quote or job card.

Geometry validation

Import diagnostics show what was repaired or skipped, and a final check confirms no overlaps and full containment.

How it works

Three steps from drawing to layout.

  1. 01

    Upload your parts

Drop in DXF or SVG files, or a ZIP of many. NestIQ checks each outline and repairs near-closed contours and duplicate entities, then tells you what it fixed or skipped.

  2. 02

    Set sheet and gaps

Pick a standard or custom sheet size, then set kerf, part spacing and sheet margins. Allow rotations, or lock grain direction if the material needs it.

  3. 03

    Nest, check, export

Run a search mode, watch the live preview, adjust by hand if you want, then export nested DXF, SVG, PNG, JSON, G-code or PLT, and a PDF job report.

FAQ

Questions from sheet metal fabrication shops.

Can several people in my shop use the same workspace?

Yes. Projects are saved in a workspace with roles: owner, admin, operator and viewer.

Can I nest different materials and thicknesses?

Yes. Save materials and plates as masters in your workspace and pick them for each project.

Does NestIQ connect to my ERP?

No. There is no ERP integration or public API. You export files and reports and bring them into your own systems.

How is pricing handled?

Plans and credits are managed in the app, in INR. Your price never goes up while you keep your plan. GST-ready billing is planned.

Bring a drawing. Leave with a better layout.

Upload a DXF or SVG, set the sheet size and kerf, and see the first layout in your browser.
